The Benefits

Chemical Exfoliation

Chemical exfoliation uses acids to dissolve the "glue" holding dead skin cells together, promoting skin cell turnover and replacing old cells with new, healthy ones. Acids like AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs not only help shed skin but also offer benefits like brightening, clarifying, and anti-ageing, depending on the type used.

Complexion-Evening (Anti-Blotchiness)

Evening skin tone is all about reducing blotchiness and achieving a more uniform complexion. Skincare products designed for this purpose use a blend of active ingredients, including soothing agents, anti-pigmentation compounds, antioxidants, and skin-restoring elements. These ingredients work together to diminish redness, inflammation, and pigment irregularities caused by inflammation, while also strengthening and protecting your skin against environmental irritants and future damage. This promotes healing and resilience, leaving your skin more balanced, radiant, and beautiful.

Pore Tightening & Minimising

Pore minimising involves reducing the appearance of enlarged pores. Enlarged pores often result from excess oil production and accumulated impurities, which stretch them over time. ageing also plays a role, as reduced skin elasticity makes pores more visible. Pore-minimising formulas tackle these issues by regulating oil production and boosting collagen and elastin to enhance skin elasticity. This helps pores return to their natural, less noticeable shape, giving your skin a smoother, more refined look.

Brightening

Brightening your skin means restoring its natural glow. One of the best ways to do this is through exfoliation. By exfoliating, you promote faster skin cell turnover, replacing old, damaged cells with fresh, radiant ones. This keeps your skin looking vibrant and healthy.

Anti-Bacterial

Anti-bacterial action targets and inhibits the growth of bacteria on your skin's surface. Anti-bacterial ingredients work by disrupting essential bacterial processes like cell wall synthesis or protein production, reducing the risk of skin infections and inflammation. They are especially effective for treating acne by controlling the acne-causing bacteria known as Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes). This anti-bacterial action helps diminish imperfections, prevent new breakouts, and reduce irritation, giving you clearer, healthier skin.

Hydrating

Hydration is all about the water content in your skin that keeps it supple and healthy. Humectants, ingredients with water-binding properties, deliver this hydration by attracting water molecules from the atmosphere. For the best results, apply hydrating serums right after a shower. Humectants not only replenish your skin's hydration but also enhance its water retention, creating a long-lasting hydration reservoir. Adding humectants like hyaluronic acid to your routine will restore your skin's healthy glow, minimize fine lines, and provide a plumping effect.

Sebum Regulating (Mattifying)

Sebum regulation involves normalising oil production in your sebaceous glands to reduce shine, oiliness, and breakouts, restoring your skin's natural balance. Overactive sebaceous glands can be triggered by internal factors like genetics, hormonal changes, and stress, as well as external factors such as climate, pollution, and diet. Excessive sebum production can lead to enlarged pores, acne, and an oily, shiny appearance. Effective sebum regulation means using skincare products that balance oil levels without over-drying your skin, helping you achieve a clearer, more matte complexion.

Anti-Inflammatory

Anti-Inflammatory skincare soothes, heal, and balance your skin, the targeted actives are designed to reduce inflammation. Inflammation is your body's natural response to injury or irritation, but continuous inflammation can lead to troublesome skin conditions like acne, rosacea, or eczema. Our anti-inflammatory skincare solutions work to soothe and calm your skin, reducing redness, swelling, and discomfort to provide much-needed relief. By strengthening your skin's barrier, these products help protect against further irritation and damage. Additionally, the anti-inflammatory actives support your skin's natural healing processes, leading to a more balanced and resilient complexion.

Active Ingredients

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids are a chemical exfoliant which exfoliate the top layers of the skin, offering a variety of benefits. They are mostly derived from plant-based sources. Some of the most common AHAs are Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid and Malic Acid. Depending on the type of AHA, they can reduce dullness, even skin tone, reduce pigmentation, tighten pores, stimulate collagen production, hydrate the skin and offer antioxidant protection. AHAs are generally less irritating and drying to the skin as they are water-soluble.

Poly-Hydroxy Acids

Poly-Hydroxy Acids are a chemical exfoliant which exfoliate the top layers of the skin. However unlike AHAs & BHAs, they consist of larger molecules so they tend to sit on the surface of the skin for longer and penetrate slowly. Therefore, they are particularly good for more sensitive skins. As well as sloughing off dead skin cells, revealing a smoother, clearer and brighter complexion; this acid is also a fantastic hydrator.

Beta-Hydroxy Acids

Beta Hydroxy Acid is a chemical exfoliant which penetrates deeply into pores to dissolve debris and dead skin cells. Because BHAs are oil-soluble, anti-bacterial & anti-inflammatory, they are particularly adept at treating active, inflamed and infected acne; even cystic acne. Also known as Salicylic Acid, this powerful ingredient is great at sebum-regulating the skin, reducing pores, lightening hyperpigmentation, fighting bacteria and easing inflammation.

NMF (Natural Moisturising Factors)

Natural Moisturising Factors are water-soluble substances which are naturally present in the epidermis. They are able to capture water and effectively hydrate the upper layers of the epidermis, making NMFs an incredibly hydrating ingredient for the skin.

Natural Moisturising Sugar Complex

The "Natural Moisturising Sugar Complex" has film-forming properties and traps humidity between this newly formed shield and the skin. This humid microclimate reinforces the protection of the skin barrier against dehydration and has a long term effect.

Understanding Acne Scarring & Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH)

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is a common skin condition that occurs when excess melanin is produced after inflammation, resulting in dark spots or patches. It often follows acne, eczema or injuries, particularly in those with medium to darker skin tones. PIH is not a true scar but can resemble one due to its lingering discolouration. Skincare for PIH focuses on brightening ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide and retinoids to reduce pigmentation, while sun protection is essential to prevent spots from darkening. Unlike scars, PIH usually fades over time but can benefit from targeted treatments.

    Perfect for keratinised skin

I had a bad case of keratinised skin as well as acne. This cream cleared it right up. I used it every night for 30 days and I still have some left.

    Refined glowing skin

I bought the cream 2 months ago, have been using it since. It was my first time using the cream. I love the Collagen cream in the AM and used this for evenings. My skin is brighter and I just say after the 3rd week I started noticing how gently my skin was peeling and regenerating. It is not sticky, or greasy absorbs quickly and gives me that glow.
