Anti-Pigmentation

Dealing with pigmentation means targeting melanin overproduction to reduce dark spots and prevent new ones. Melanin production can be triggered by UV exposure, pollution, hormonal changes (like during pregnancy), and inflammation (from acne or cuts). This excess pigment is then transferred to surrounding cells in epidermis called keratinocytes, which then moves to the skin's surface, causing visible dark spots.

To treat hyperpigmentation, a personalised and consistent approach is needed. Our anti-pigmentation products include lightening agents to block tyrosinase (the enzyme that creates melanin), antioxidants to fight free radicals, and ingredients to speed up skin cell turnover, removing pigmented cells. Using broad-spectrum sun protection is crucial to prevent new pigmentation during treatment.

Complexion-Unifying (Anti-Blotchiness)

Evening skin tone is all about reducing blotchiness and achieving a more uniform complexion. Skincare products designed for this purpose use a blend of active ingredients, including soothing agents, anti-pigmentation compounds, antioxidants, and skin-restoring elements. These ingredients work together to diminish redness, inflammation, and pigment irregularities caused by inflammation, while also strengthening and protecting your skin against environmental irritants and future damage. This promotes healing and resilience, leaving your skin more balanced, radiant, and beautiful.

Brightening

Brightening your skin means restoring its natural glow. One of the best ways to do this is through exfoliation. By exfoliating, you promote faster skin cell turnover, replacing old, damaged cells with fresh, radiant ones. This keeps your skin looking vibrant and healthy.

Photo-Protecting

Photo-protective products offer strong protection against harmful UV radiation. They create a defensive barrier on your skin, preventing sunburn, premature ageing, and DNA damage from sun exposure. These products help reduce the risk of photoageing, including fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots, while also supporting your skin’s natural repair processes to minimize the impact of any existing sun damage.

Skin Barrier Strengthening

Strengthening your skin barrier involves replenishing the key elements in the top layer of your skin (stratum corneum), leading to a stronger and healthier barrier. These essential elements include lipids (ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol) and Natural Moisturizing Factors (amino acids, hyaluronic acid, etc.). Various factors, such as incorrect skincare use, seasonal changes, and aesthetic treatments, can damage your skin barrier. When this happens, your skin loses excess water through Trans Epidermal Water Loss (T.E.W.L) and becomes less capable of defending against environmental stressors, resulting in dryness, sensitivity, and irritation.

A healthy skin barrier is crucial for overall skin health as it helps prevent hydration loss, protects against environmental damage, and reduces the risk of skin conditions like eczema and acne. Oligosaccharides from Wheat Bran

Oligosaccharides from wheat bran are compounds that effectively reduce pigmentation by preventing the start of melanogenesis, the process that forms dark pigment. They also inhibit tyrosinase activity, an enzyme crucial for melanin production. As a result, they brighten and even out the skin tone, helping to achieve a more uniform complexion.

Wasabi Extract

Wasabi has powerful antioxidant and antiseptic properties, helping to protect skin cells from free radical damage and support skin healing.

Plum Pulp Extract

Plum Pulp Extract is a lightening agent working on inhibiting melanogenesis (melanin overproduction) and melanin transfer to surrounding cells; thus inhibiting pigmentation from occurring. It also helps to strengthen the skin barrier and reduce Trans epidermal Water Loss (TEWL).

Anti-ROS and anti-RNS Antioxidant

This targeted antioxidant neutralises Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and Reactive Nitrogen Species (RNS), which are common free radicals induced by the environment. By doing so, it prevents melanin overproduction and the formation of lipofuscin, a pigment that results from oxidised sebum (oil); thus reducing the amount of pigment produced. Additionally, it detoxifies the skin and slows down cell ageing, allowing your skin to be more rejuvenated.

Complex of Watercress Sprout Extract and Soy-based Pure Genistin

The Complex of Watercress Sprout Extract and Soy-based Pure Genistin targets dark spots by inhibiting melanin and lipofuscin (oxidized sebum) production. It also offers photo-protective properties, preventing premature ageing of skin cells.
