Serum PIGM 400 by Biologique Recherche is a targeted anti-pigmentation serum formulated to prevent new dark spots from forming, reduce the appearance of existing hyperpigmentation and leave the complexion more even, unified and luminous.

A complex of Watercress Sprout Extract and Soy-based Pure Genistein provides the formula's core brightening action, while a Chromanyl Palmitate-based Synthetic Peptide — a stabilised Vitamin E derivative — adds a further layer of antioxidant protection. Plum Pulp Extract rounds out the active brightening complex, working at the skin's surface to visibly fade existing discolouration through natural acids and brightening compounds.

Dealing with pigmentation means targeting melanin overproduction to reduce dark spots and prevent new ones. Melanin production can be triggered by UV exposure, pollution, hormonal changes (like during pregnancy), and inflammation (from acne or cuts). This excess pigment is then transferred to surrounding cells in epidermis called keratinocytes, which then moves to the skin's surface, causing visible dark spots.
