Hello Embassy of Beauty. My name is Irene, and I am the founder of Irene Forte Skincare. I am delighted to have my products now available in your beautiful space. I began this brand while working for Rocco Forte Hotels, a European hotel chain, with the intention of unifying the group's spas with a product range.
What sets Irene Forte Skincare apart from other brands?
My search was for something natural but not naive, something Italian. Upon discovering the challenge of finding what I desired, I turned to our amazing organic farm in Sicily for ingredients. And I thought, well, wouldn’t it be wonderful to use those ingredients? This led me to formulate a product range myself, thus initiating the brand.
In terms of the ethos behind the brand and what truly sets us apart, we pride ourselves on being natural yet clinically proven. We conduct hydration trials, anti-wrinkle trials, antioxidant trials, and consumer trials. Our products offer a highly experiential journey. We utilise special allergen-screen fragrances, ensuring our products are gentle on the skin, with sensitive skin trials confirming their suitability.
Additionally, all our products are corp certified, reflecting our significant focus on sustainability. Our approach to sustainability is comprehensive, encompassing certification as vegan, our 100% production in Italy, refillable packaging, and a recycling scheme for refills, among other initiatives.
Please, tell us about the hero products at Irene Forte Skincare.
The hero products in the Irene Forte skincare range undoubtedly include the Myoxinil products, featuring an ingredient trademarked by us. Derived from Hibiscus Seed Peptides, Myoxinol is a wonderful ingredient that works both intrinsically and extrinsically on wrinkles and deep forehead lines (which are the hardest wrinkles to lose), prominently featured in our Hibiscus Night Cream, Prickly Pear Face Cream, and Hibiscus Serum.
Could you share your skincare routine with us?
My personal skincare routine prioritises cleansing, utilising our Almond Cleansing Milk as the first and most crucial step of any skincare routine. Following this, toning with our Helichrysum Toner is for me the second most important step, as it balances the pH of the skin and aids in ingredient penetration.
Next up, serum. Serum is designed to penetrate more deeply into the skin, and deliver highly active ingredients. So, never skip the serum step. I love our Hibiscus Serum.
Eye cream application follows to ensure hydration and protection for this delicate area, with our Olive Eye Cream being my go-to choice. The eye area is quite prone to ageing quickly as it is thinner. So I always make sure to keep this area hydrated.
Finally, sealing everything with our hero Hibiscus Night Cream to lock in moisture and protect the skin.
Could you enlighten us on the sustainability practices at Irene Forte Skincare?
I feel like we’re one of the first luxury, sustainable skincare brands.
As a B Corp certified brand, our sustainability efforts encompass every aspect of our operations.
In terms of packaging, we’re really tried to create a product that looked and felt luxurious, and is still sustainable. Our packaging utilises 100% recycled fibre boxes with vegetable-based ink and glass bottles made of 31% post-consumer recycled glass, with all 30ml and 50ml products being refillable.
We have partnered with Versmar for a recycling scheme, contributing to a circular product lifecycle. They turn the bio based plastic bottles into plastic pellets to create new plastic for building materials and car particles.
Our ingredients are certified vegan and 100% is sourced from our organic farm in Sicily. Additionally, we also use upcycled ingredients that come from nutrient rich plant based leftovers.
We are committed to being carbon neutral by 2030 and engage in charity partnerships to further our impact. One of our charity partnerships is the Lady Garden Foundation, where £1.50 of every Pomegranate Hand Cream sold globally is donated.
