The Benefits

  • - + Physical Exfoliation
  • - + Brightening
  • - + Reduces Trans Epidermal Water Loss
  • - + Hydrating
  • - + Supports Microbiome
  • - + Anti-Redness
  • - + Skin Barrier Strengthening
  • - + Antioxidant
Physical Exfoliation

Physical or manual exfoliation uses scrubbing agents like salts, sugars, granules, and tools such as loofahs to gently loosen and remove dead skin cells and debris. Body exfoliants typically have a higher concentration of exfoliating particles for a deeper and more intense action on thicker body skin, addressing specific concerns like keratosis pilaris (bumpy skin), ingrown hairs, and uneven texture. As dead skin cells are buffed away, your skin is left feeling softer, smoother, and more radiant. Physical exfoliants provide fast and visible results after just one use, with even more noticeable improvements with regular use. This type of exfoliation is perfect for those with flaky, thickened, and congested skin.

Brightening

Brightening your skin means restoring its natural glow. One of the best ways to do this is through exfoliation. By exfoliating, you promote faster skin cell turnover, replacing old, damaged cells with fresh, radiant ones. This keeps your skin looking vibrant and healthy.

Reduces Trans Epidermal Water Loss

Reducing Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL) is key to maintaining your skin’s optimal hydration levels. By strengthening your skin’s natural barrier, these ingredients prevent water from escaping, keeping your skin well-hydrated and plump. The result is a smoother, more supple complexion with improved texture and resilience, giving you a healthier, more radiant look.

Hydrating

Hydration is all about the water content in your skin that keeps it supple and healthy. Humectants, ingredients with water-binding properties, deliver this hydration by attracting water molecules from the atmosphere. For the best results, apply hydrating serums right after a shower. Humectants not only replenish your skin's hydration but also enhance its water retention, creating a long-lasting hydration reservoir. Adding humectants like hyaluronic acid to your routine will restore your skin's healthy glow, minimize fine lines, and provide a plumping effect.

Supports Microbiome

Supporting your skin’s microbiome means maintaining a balanced ecosystem of beneficial microorganisms that live on its surface, particularly across the body. This invisible layer acts as a first line of defense, working alongside your skin barrier to keep it resilient and healthy. A balanced microbiome helps regulate pH levels, fend off harmful bacteria, reduce inflammation, and strengthen immune responses in the skin. Factors such as harsh cleansers, frequent shaving, hot showers, pollution, and certain body treatments can disrupt this balance, reducing microbial diversity and leading to dryness, sensitivity, breakouts, or flare-ups of conditions like eczema.

By supporting the microbiome with prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics, as well as gentle, pH-friendly formulations, you help preserve this natural shield. A healthy microbiome keeps your skin better hydrated, less reactive, and more capable of repairing itself, leaving it smoother, stronger, and visibly balanced.

Anti-Redness

Anti-Redness skincare is all about reducing and preventing facial or body redness, which can result from irritation, skin conditions, compromised barriers, and hormonal changes. A targeted approach with multiple strategies works best for tackling redness. Anti-Redness formulations include active ingredients that soothe and strengthen your skin barrier. Their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties calm inflammation and protect against environmental irritants. Additionally, these ingredients have vasoconstrictive properties, meaning they reduce blood vessel dilation to lessen redness. Together, these actions help achieve a more even-toned, balanced complexion that's less prone to redness flare-ups.

Skin Barrier Strengthening

Strengthening your skin barrier involves replenishing the key elements in the top layer of your skin (stratum corneum), leading to a stronger and healthier barrier. These essential elements include lipids (ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol) and Natural Moisturizing Factors (amino acids, hyaluronic acid, etc.). Various factors, such as incorrect skincare use, seasonal changes, and aesthetic treatments, can damage your skin barrier. When this happens, your skin loses excess water through Trans Epidermal Water Loss (T.E.W.L) and becomes less capable of defending against environmental stressors, resulting in dryness, sensitivity, and irritation.\n\nA healthy skin barrier is crucial for overall skin health as it helps prevent hydration loss, protects against environmental damage, and reduces the risk of skin conditions like eczema and acne. By strengthening your skin barrier, you ensure your skin remains well-hydrated, resilient, and protected.

Antioxidant

Antioxidant Protection shields your skin and preserves its youthful glow. It refers to a defence system that protects against harmful molecules and keeps your complexion healthy and radiant. Free radicals, those incredibly reactive molecules, come from everyday sources like sunlight, diet, smoking, and pollution. They attack healthy cells, accelerating skin ageing, causing wrinkles, loss of firmness, pigmentation, and dullness. Incorporating antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, into your routine creates a protective shield on your skin. These powerful ingredients neutralise free radicals, preventing them from causing damage. The result is skin that stays youthful, firm, and luminous.

Pumice

Pumice is a naturally occurring volcanic rock formed when lava rapidly cools and depressurizes, creating a lightweight, porous texture ideal for physical exfoliation. In skincare, finely ground pumice serves as a gentle yet effective mechanical exfoliant, helping to slough away dead skin cells and unclog pores. By refining the skin’s surface, it enhances smoothness, encourages better absorption of follow-up products, and promotes a fresher, more radiant appearance. Its granular texture makes it particularly effective for rough areas such as elbows, knees, and heels, while remaining safe for regular body use when properly formulated.

Apricot Seed Powder

Apricot Seed Powder, is derived from the kernels of Apricots. This finely ground powder provides gentle physical exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and improve dry, rough or congested skin.

Saccharide Isomerate (PENTAVITIN)

Saccharide Isomerate, also known as PentavitinÆ, is a carbohydrate complex derived from plants that closely resembles those found in human skin. It serves multiple functions in skincare: first, it acts as a prebiotic, supporting a healthy balance of microorganisms on the skin's surface, which is crucial for maintaining skin health.

Secondly, Saccharide Isomerate functions as a powerful humectant. This means it attracts moisture from the environment and binds it to the skin, acting like a "water magnet." This ability helps to deeply hydrate the skin, making it appear plump, smooth, and intensely moisturised.

Studies have shown that Saccharide Isomerate can increase skin hydration levels for up to 72 hours after application, making it an effective ingredient for providing long-lasting hydration and maintaining skin moisture balance.

LACTOCOCCUS FERMENT LYSATE (PROBIOTIC)

Fermented Lactococcus Ferment Lysate is derived from the fermentation of the Lactococcus Lactis bacteria. This process releases natural sugars that serve as probiotics on the skin, enhancing the balance of the skin microbiome. It promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms while safeguarding against harmful bacteria. In addition to supporting the microbiome, it functions as a natural preservative and skin softener.

Aloe Leaf Juice

Aloe Leaf Juice has a long history of use for its calming, anti-inflammatory, and hydrating effects on the skin. Its versatility makes it suitable for all skin types, especially beneficial for dehydrated, weakened, and sensitive skin.

Hydrolyzed Tomato Skin

Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) are well-known for their nutrient-rich composition, including vitamins A, C, and E, as well as potent antioxidants such as lycopene. Through the hydrolysis process, these beneficial compounds are preserved and potentially enhanced making this ingredient primarily recognized for its skin-conditioning properties, which help to maintain and improve skin health. It contributes to enhancing skin texture, promoting softness, smoothness, and suppleness. Its effects support a more refined, youthful, and radiant appearance.

Pre And Probiotic Complex

Prebiotics, such as Saccharide Isomerate, nourish beneficial skin bacteria, helping to maintain a balanced microbiome. This balance supports the skin’s natural defenses, reducing the risk of infections and irritations from harmful bacteria. Prebiotics also enhance moisture retention by attracting and binding water to the skin, strengthening the barrier and preventing dehydration. Additionally, they have anti-inflammatory effects, reducing skin sensitivity and promoting a calmer complexion by modulating the immune response. Probiotics, like Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, introduce beneficial bacteria to the skin, helping restore and maintain a healthy microbiome. By outcompeting harmful microorganisms, probiotics prevent skin imbalances that can lead to conditions like acne or eczema. They also strengthen the skin’s immune defense, protect against environmental stressors, and improve overall skin resilience. Together, prebiotics and probiotics promote healthier, more hydrated, and resilient skin by maintaining microbial balance, supporting barrier function, and reducing inflammation.
