Happy New Year everyone!
As we welcome 2020, much like every New Year, we vow to keep those ‘New Year, new me’ resolutions. This normally lasts for about a week, a month maybe if we’re lucky and then it’s straight back into our usual routine (old habits die hard).

After weeks of overindulging in mince pies, excess mulled wine drinking and too many a late night it is finally time to repair the damage and remove any traces of toxification we have put into our skin (all be it willingly!).
So why does our skin become ‘toxified’ and how can we fix this?
That beloved ingredient is to blame... you know the one that is at the bottom of every bottle, every cake, every treat we desire… sugar!
Sugar can weaken the immune system, and a suppressed immune system is bad at fighting off bacteria. Bacteria clogged in pores creates spots. It also creates more testosterone. Testosterone can enlarge pores and therefore skin becomes oilier.
Sugar is a dehydrating agent, so oil production is increased. It also affects the water binding in your skin so it tends to look less taught and doesn’t appear as fresh and alert as your normal healthy skin would. The skin becomes sallow, lacklustre and annoyingly, you also get those unwanted dark circles!
In this article I will be explaining how to nourish, brighten, protect and strengthen your skin after the lengthy festive period has taken its toll.
Firstly, we need to start with a thorough DOUBLE cleanse!

How to use: For the first two weeks of use, apply a few drops to dampened cotton pads with cold water, and press and release, patting the product all over face, neck and décolleté, morning and evening. Please do not rub and only pass over each area once. After two weeks of use, if the skin is not sensitive to the product, switch to dry cotton pads.
